How celebrities are faring in 2025 elections for Congress, party-list seats

MANILA, Philippines — A number of celebrities are poised to keep their seats in the House of Representatives as election results continue to be canvassed.

In the race for first district of Quezon City, incumbent House Rep. Juan Carlos "Arjo" Atayde is currently holding off former congressman Vincent "Bingbong" Pichay Crisologo.

Atayde has 69,951 votes while Crisologo has 49,843, based on 77.34% of elections returns transmitted as of 10:54 a.m.

Also facing competition is incumbent Richard Gomez, whose 141,055 votes leads the Leyte (4th District) race over Vicente "Ching" Veloso — the former representative of the province's third district — who has 108.309 votes so far.

Lani Mercado-Revilla is running unopposed in the second district of Cavite and is set to see a second consecutive term, having also served from 2010 to 2016.

Her son, Jolo Revilla, is leading the race in Cavite's first district over Paul Abaya, a rematch of the 2022 elections. The younger Revilla currently has 115,987 votes while Abaya has 32,486.

Current Oriental Mindoro vice-governor Ejay Falcon is trailing in the province's second district race with  with 78,088 votes to incumbent Rep. PA Umali, the latter leading with 99,700 votes.

Also trailing is Marco Gumabao in the race for Camarines Sur's fourth district, whose 95,089 votes is currently below the 122,306 of incumbent Arnulf "Arnie" Fuentebella, which would mark a third and final term for the latter.

Several celebrities and personalities are running as party-list representatives. Here are where some of them stand as of press time:

  • Eli San Fernando, first nominee of Kamanggagawa - 31st, 305,420 (0.91%)
  • Bayani Agbayani, second nominee of Tupad - 60th, 193,968 (0.57%)
  • Zanjoe Marudo, second nominee of ASAP NA - 78th, 128,455 (0.38%)
  • Wilbert Tolentino, first nominee of Ahon Mahirap - 86th, 123,093 (0.37%)
  • Jeremy Marquez, first nominee of Solo Parents - 94th,104,599 (0.31%)
  • Norris John Okamoto, first nominee of Lingap - 139th, 30,625 (0.09%)
  • Jonas Gaffud, third nominee of ARTE - 153rd, 11,425 (0.03%)
