Inigo Pascual shares how often he asks advice from his dad Piolo Pascual

MANILA, Philippines — Inigo Pascual shared that he turns to his father, actor Piolo Pascual, for acting advice, especially when the scenes involve heavy drama.
The young actor was in town, away from Hollywood where he spent his days for some acting gigs.
“Lagi ako nagtatanong kay Papa lalo na dun sa mga heavy drama scenes na kailangan ko talaga ibigay ang todo. Nagtatanong ako sa kanya kung ano bang dapat kong isipin — kung 'yung personal pain ko ba or should I be the character? And my dad says, ‘Whatever works for you and whatever works in that situation,’” Inigo shared.
This has worked so far for the young star, as he has successfully made his footprint in the American show "Monarch," which starred Susan Sarandon and Anna Friel.
Inigo said that like many actors, he still has auditions to get coveted parts in shows, especially in the United States.
“Whenever I say auditions, hindi po ibig sabihin nun lagi kang natatanggap. And for me, I’m happy that I get to do the auditions. And mahirap. Mahirap po talaga — imagine niyo po, kung dito sa Philippines mahirap nang maging artista, imagine niyo sa America. Mas madami kang makakalaban and mas marami silang options,” he said.
However, he reaffirmed his desire to continue pursuing his career here in the Philippines: “When I say I do a lot of auditions, it means I’m just taking my chance and seeing how far I can go in my career in the States. Pero sa akin, hindi ibig sabihin nun na doon lang 'yung magiging gusto kong career. I still want to do my career out here in the Philippines.”
“This is home to me. No matter what projects I get to do in another place, in another country, ito pa rin ‘yung bahay ko.”
Apart from acting, Inigo has also delved into singing.
He released his album latest album "The Heartbreak Trilogy" last year.
“Ngayon nasa proseso po ako na gumagawa po ako ng mga kanta. And this year, I'm doing something different with my music. I think I’m going to go back to my roots and kind of go back to the sound of ‘Dahil Sayo.’ So abangan po natin yan,” Inigo teased.
The actor will also be doing business just like his peers. "I’m going to be making more rug designs. And I’m also going to come up with a new brand that’s coming out very soon. Mga hygiene stuff.”
