Riders will tackle distances of 30km, 45km and 60km, while young participants from two to 15 years old will enjoy specially tailored rides.

MANILA, Philippines — The excitement is mounting as the Shopwise Bike Fest gears up for its much-anticipated second staging this Sunday, May 18, with public figures who embody excellence, health and inspiration headlining the pedal party at Vermosa in Imus, Cavite.

Among those lending their support to the growing fitness movement are GMA Artist Center’s Aira Lopez, award-winning journalist and TV host Kara David, and noted triathlete Ani Brown. Their participation not only adds glamour but also draws national attention to the event’s core message — to champion a healthier, more active lifestyle and bring communities closer through fitness and fun.

Adding even more sparkle to the lineup are Century Tuna Superbods 2024 winner Jether Palomo, runners-up Patrick Patawaran and Jessica Marasigan, as well as Eldrew Yulo, brother of Olympic gold medalist gymnast Carlos Yulo. Their involvement signals a strong endorsement from the fitness community, setting a powerful example for fans and followers to get moving.

Also invited to the event are popular content creators Sabrina San Diego, Eloi Regaliza and Buji Babiera, who are expected to ride alongside participants, providing live content and behind-the-scenes looks, further amplifying the reach of this increasingly inclusive celebration.

With 2,800 participants in the roster, the Shopwise Bike Fest has become more than just a sporting event — it's evolving into one of the Philippines' most well-loved and accessible cycling festivals, catering to all ages, fitness levels and riding skills.

From toddlers to professionals, the event promotes wellness, family bonding and environmental awareness in a fun and dynamic setting.

Participants will take on 30km, 45km, and 60km routes designed for both individual and group categories. Specially curated rides for kids aged 2 to 15 years old, including a push bike category for children 2-7, offer a fun and active way for families to create healthy habits and lasting memories together.

These family-friendly additions support Shopwise’s advocacy to keep children physically active and reduce screen time by engaging in real-world outdoor adventures.

Organized by Sunrise Events Philippines and sponsored by Shopwise, the festival upholds international standards of safety and event quality. Road closures and full race support will ensure a smooth experience for riders, while strict regulations — such as the exclusion of fixies and e-bikes — maintain fairness. Eligible bikes include road, BMX, mountain, gravel, and foldable bikes.

According to Princess Galura of Sunrise Events, “the Shopwise Bike Fest is not only a celebration of cycling — it's a movement that encourages healthier living, stronger families and more vibrant communities.”

The event will kick off with a 5 a.m. assembly, followed by a full morning of exhilarating rides. The kids' highlight ride at 8:30 a.m. promises to be a crowd favorite.
