It has happened yet again, another road rage incident. Although this time at least there was no violence involved and no injuries or deaths took place.
This time it was by moto vlogger who uploaded a video of herself acting aggressively and rudely against a pickup driver whom she couldn’t overtake on a dirt road in Zambales.
In the video we can see her cursing at the driver and giving him the dirty finger after she finally overtook him. Later it seemed she forced a confrontation between them, safe in the company of other motorcycle riders.
Why did she have to post the video in the first place? Was she perhaps hoping public opinion would sway in her favor? However, the exact opposite happened. Her actions were criticized and the bashing became so intense that she had to issue a public apology.
Now there are lessons to learn here. The first and foremost we always like to point out can avoid road rage incidents; always keep your cool.
Are altercations in traffic really worth blowing out of proportion? Are other drivers worth fighting? Is it worth your time to argue with someone else on the road?
The second lesson to learn here is to not upload videos until you are sure you are in the right. Just because you are the one famous, just because you are the one shouting, just because you are the one who uploaded video first doesn’t make you right.
We can also further simplify this lesson to “Just don’t upload videos, period”, although this may be hard for her to do since she is a vlogger.
But enough bashing her, she is expected to face charges from the pickup driver himself anyway.
After all this there is actually some good news for her. She really need not worry about being declared a persona non-grata in Zambales. While the declaration had such strong words saying she "is prohibited from entering the Province of Zambales except for legitimate purposes as determined by the provincial government", she can actually come and go there as she pleases.
The declaration is just a strong expression of dislike against her, but the province cannot physically bar her from going there for whatever reason, as such would be infringing upon her constitutional right to travel wherever she wants.
