Bloomberry names new president/COO

MANILA, Philippines — Gaming industry veteran Gregory Francis Hawkins is all set to lead Bloomberry Resorts Corp. of tycoon Enrique Razon Jr. in its next phase of growth.

In a stock exchange filing, Bloomberry said its board has appointed Hawkins as director, president and chief operating officer of the company.

Hawkins was previously named as acting COO of Bloomberry in February.

He was also appointed as acting COO of operating subsidiary Bloomberry Resorts and Hotels Inc. (BRHI) in December last year.

He assumed the COO functions in both Solaire Entertainment City and Solaire North on Dec. 19, 2024.

His appointment comes following the retirement of long-time Bloomberry president and COO Thomas Arasi in December last year.

Hawkins is an industry veteran with decades of experience in the gaming industry.

He previously served as chief casino officer of Star Entertainment and managing director of Star Sydney.

Hawkins also served as chief executive officer of Crown Melbourne and as president of City of Dreams Macau.

Bloomberry, owner and operator of integrated resorts Solaire Resort Entertainment City and Solaire Resort North in the Philippines as well as Jeju Sun Hotel & Casino in South Korea, recently launched a new online gaming platform called megaFUNalo!

The all-new online entertainment platform provides a wide array of options that include on-demand movies, live game shows 24/7, free mini-games as well as interactive live dealers where players can win real cash.

It is expected to complement Solaire Online and is seen to bring Bloomberry’s brand of online gaming entertainment to Filipinos nationwide.
