'Mama's boy ako eh': Dominic Roque recalls 'karinderya' with mom

MANILA, Philippines — Dominic Roque is not ashamed of his past.
At the recent launch of PLDT and Netflix’s new partnership, the content creator shared that he and girlfriend Sue Ramirez are now very much into the Korean drama “When Life Gives You Tangerines” because they can both relate to it.
Both he and Sue, he said, are close to their moms.
“Lately, pinanood namin ni Sue ‘yung ‘When Life Gives You Tangerines’ na first episode palang, grabe na ‘yung iyak kasi it’s about the mom and sa daughter, eh ako, mama’s boy ako eh. So parang ‘yung struggles namin before, kasi ‘yung mom ko, may karinderya kami before, kami ‘yung namamalengke, kami ‘yung nagluluto hanggang dinner, so ‘yung series na ‘yun talaga, diretso sa puso, mapapaiyak ka, kasi nakaka-konek ako d’un sa kung papano n’ya mahal ‘yung nanay n’ya, gusto lang n’ya makasama,” he explained.
Besides K-dramas, he also enjoys watching series about sports.
“May mga days na we’re talking heavy, nagiging bonding ko ‘yun with my other friends who also like Formula One,” he shared.
