5 golds kinana ni Hernandez
Ilocos Norte — Limang gintong medalya ang kinana ni Arman Hernandez Jr. sa elementary boys’ division ng men’s artistic gymnastics ng 65th Palarong Pambansa kahapon dito sa Ilocos Norte National High School Gymnasium.
Nagdomina ang National Capital Region (NCR) gymnast sa cluster 1 elementary boys’ floor exercise (9.200), vault (9.300), horizontal bar (9.300), individual all around (36.600) at cluster 2 team championships (115.500) kasama sina Kizz at Deena Gungob.
“Masayang-masaya po kasi first time ko lang po sumali dito sa Palarong Pambansa,” ani ng 8-anyos na Grade 4 student ng Don Carlos Village Elementary School sa Pasay City.
Sa athletics sa Ferdinand E. Marcos Memorial Stadium Track and Field, nagtala ng bagong Palarong Pambansa record sina Jhul Ian Canalita ng Region VII (Central Visayas) sa secondary boys’ 5,000-meter run sa oras na 15:16.31, Alfred Talplacido ng Region III (Central Luzon) sa secondary boys’ 400m (48.10), Josh Gabriel Salcedo ng Region VI (Western Visayas) sa secondary boys’ discus throw (45.52), Mico Villaran ng Region VI (Western Visayas) sa secondary boys’ 110m hurdles (14.00) at Chris Evan Domingo ng NCR sa elementary boy’s 400m (54.29).
Nagtakbo rin ng ginto sa kanilang mga events sina Angel Villagracia ng Region VII (Central Visayas) sa secondary girls’ 100m hurdles (14.64), Jeralyn Rodriguez ng NCR sa secondary girls’ 400m ( 7.10) at Rose Jean Barcelona ng Region V (Bicol) sa secondary girls’ long jump (5.37).
