Unity ride set for tomorrow

MANILA, Philippines —  The Sara Volunteer Action Group (SVAG) will conduct a unity ride tomorrow, May 4, to unite all Diehard Duterte Supporters (DDS) in Cebu Province as they manifest their support for the Duter10 senatorial candidates.

The unity ride will also show their opposition to the impeachment of Vice President Sara Duterte.

Ian Gacrama, one of the lead organizers of the unity ride, describes the upcoming event as the “mother of all unity rides.”

Gacrama said that that there are over 300 different motorcycle organizations in Cebu and there could be between 200,000 to 300,000 members, but not all of them might join.

“Ang amoa ra g’yud ni nga mag-awhag mi nga mo-join sila. Anha ra mi makabalo kung pila g’yud kabuok ang mangapil on the day na sa unity ride,” said Gacrama.

However, based on their previous unity rides both in northern and southern Cebu, thousands of motorcycle riders have joined.

The May 4 unity ride will start at 2:30 P.M. from Carcar City in the south and in Danao City in the north.

They will all converge at Plaza Independencia in Cebu City at 6 P.M. for a program.

Meanwhile, the riders also said they are opting to ignore the comment of Byron Garcia, brother of Cebu Governor Gwen Garcia, who called their group “oplok”.

“Mura man mi’g gisayon-sayon lang… Nalain g’yud mi,” said Gacrama.
